Subdivision coming to East Central Avenue across from Walters Funeral Home

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- New home construction is planned within walking distance of Downtown La Follette. This afternoon, this item and others will be discussed at the City of La Follette Regional Planning Commission meeting.

The aerial photo from WLAF’s Charlie Hutson, snapped in November 2022, shows the demolition of the burned former Balloff home and the area around it where a subdivision may eventually be developed.

At the 5pm meeting, a preliminary subdivision for the area across from Walters Funeral Home on East Central Avenue is on the agenda along with a variance request on the west end of the city at 1201 West Ash Street.

The meeting will be held at City Hall.
