CAMPBELL COUNTY, Tenn. (SPECIAL TO WLAF)– Major League Fishing (MLF), the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, announced Tuesday the ninth season of pro bass fishing’s most exciting circuit, the 2027 Bass Pro Tour, and local fishing fans will be excited to see that Norris Lake will be one of the nine fisheries showcased during the season. “This took a lot of time and scheduling to get this event; special thanks to the Campbell County Commission and the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce for their work and dedication to achieve this goal,” said Campbell County Mayor Jack Lynch.

Campbell County and Norris Lake, a Bill Dance Signature Lake, will play host to Stage 3 of the 2027 Bass Pro Tour season, Thursday, March 11- Sunday, March 14. Hosted by Campbell County, the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, and Bill Dance Signature Lakes, the event will showcase 50 of the top anglers in pro bass fishing competing for the sport’s biggest payouts, valuable Fishing Clash Angler of the Year points and qualification into REDCREST 2028, MLF’s most prestigious championship event.

“We are proud to present the Bass Pro Tournament coming to Norris Lake. This is a professional tournament that will be streamed live and will showcase beautiful Norris Lake and Campbell County,” said Mayor Lynch.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Major League Fishing and the Bass Pro Tour to Norris Lake and Campbell County,” said Dennis Tumlin, Chief Customer Officer of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development. “Norris Lake is one of Tennessee’s great outdoor destinations, and its inclusion in the Bill Dance Signature Lakes program reflects the quality of the fishery and the experience it offers anglers and visitors. Events like this bring national attention to our lakes, support local businesses and give us another opportunity to showcase why Tennessee is such a special place to fish, explore and visit.”

“We are excited to welcome anglers to Campbell County, Tennessee, and the pristine waters of beautiful Norris Lake. We are confident that will be an unforgettable Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour event,” said Missy Tackett, Executive Director of the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism.

The event will mark the first time that the MLF Bass Pro Tour has visited Norris Lake.

“The 2027 Bass Pro Tour schedule is exactly what this league is built for – great fisheries, passionate host communities and the best anglers in the world competing in a format that showcases every decision they make on the water,” said Daniel Fennel, MLF Senior Director of Tournament Operations for the Bass Pro Tour. “From historic venues like the St. Johns River, Toledo Bend and Lake Champlain to exciting stops like Norris Lake and our dual-lake event in Louisiana, this schedule will give our anglers a tremendous test and give fans a season full of storylines to follow, from start to finish.”

Each regular-season Bass Pro Tour event will feature the full field of anglers competing in the Qualifying Round on Days 1 and 2, followed by the Knockout Round on Day 3 and the Championship Round on Day 4. MLF’s signature catch-weigh-release format delivers real-time scoring via the SCORETRACKER® leaderboard and live coverage for fans throughout each day of competition.

Every minute of Bass Pro Tour competition will be streamed live on MLFNOW! through the MLF app, MyOutdoorTV (MOTV), Rumble and MajorLeagueFishing.com, giving fans unprecedented access to the strategies, adjustments and on-the-water drama that define the Bass Pro Tour.
