Mildred Myers Mitchell, age 83 of Speedwell

Mildred Myers Mitchell, age 83 of Speedwell passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 at her home in Speedwell, TN. Mildred was a 1961 Graduate of LaFollette High School, a faithful worker for Campbell County Election Commission at Well Springs precincts for 50 years, a faithful member of Well Springs Methodist Church, long time member of UT Extension Home Demonstration Club. Mildred enjoyed gardening, quilting, canning and cooking for her family. She was always a helpmate on the farm with Eddie, doing such things as gardening, raising tobacco and milking cows.

Preceded in death by parents: Lenis and Lottie Bean Myers, brothers: Fred, Mike and George Myers and Moss Moyers, sisters: Florence Johnson, Opal Smith, Lena York, Joyce Ann Macke

Husband of 64 years Eddie Mitchell

Children: Jeff Mitchell and wife Rissa, Robin Mullens and husband Jim

Grandchildren: Matt Mitchell and wife Sandra, Hailey Liew and husband Joey, Mitchell Mullens and wife Beth

Great Grandchildren: Ben, Beau, Addie Kate, Eli, Luke Mitchell, Elsie, Banner, Charlie Liew, Levi and Collin Mullens

Brothers and sisters: Louise Claiborne, Polly Lynch, Sam Myers wife Louise

Sister-in-law: Peggy Mannering and husband Derick

Brother-in-law: Roger Mitchell

The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Wes Mattie officiating. Family and friends will meet Wednesday at 11:30 AM at Powell Valley Cemetery for Graveside and Interment Services.
