Michael McKinley Barnes, age 76 of Caryville, passed away on February 13, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 28, 1948, to the late George Barnes and Rosie (Therman) Barnes. Michael was married to the love of his life for 53 years and loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He also loved attending church and was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, but his greatest love was his, family, grandchildren, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Roger Barnes, Harold Barnes, Blaine Barnes, Paris Barnes, and Hershel Barnes.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Ella Barnes of Caryville; sons Stephen Ray Barnes and wife Dana and Nathan Lee Barnes; sister Katherine Phillips; grandchildren Landon Dee Barnes and Paxton Grant Barnes; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Tom Reese officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM on February 18, 2025, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in a funeral procession to Queener Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment with Military honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
