JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Mark your calendars for CASA of Campbell County’s 25th Annual Bluegrass Breakdown set for Saturday, July 11, at the Ball Farm Event Center. Doors open at 4pm with music from the git-go with The Lonesome Steel Rails opening the fun event. The festivities run till 7:30pm.
Come out and support CASA by buying tickets, sponsoring a table or donating auction items; all funds go back into CASA and support local children going through the court system. CASA’s Bluegrass Breakdown is the non-profit organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
“We have an evening planned full of fun, with a catered meal from The Doorway Gourmet, an evening of bluegrass music provided by the headlining band, Free Rein. The Lonesome Steel Rails will also be performing, opening the event, and there will be door prizes throughout the event and silent and live auctions. I cannot wait for the evening to unfold,” said Campbell County CASA Executive Director Jan Jones.
Table sponsors are also available with Partner Levels being $300.00, Advocate Levels $500.00 and Community Partner Level $1,000.00. Any monetary donations are tax deductible.
“We are also accepting items for both silent and live auctions. Donations can be picked up by calling our office or dropped off at the office,” Jones said.
For CASA, this is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year and helps keep the non-profit going to help local children going through the court system.
“For a child facing abuse and neglect when removed from their home and placed in foster care, this can be some of the scariest times that they face in their life. Having a CASA advocate in their life allows them to build trust in this person and realize that hey are there to advocate for them and give the judge a voice from the child,” Jones said.
To date in 2026, CASA has served 32 children (23 cases) whose cases have closed, and the children now have safe permanent loving homes. “This is 23 cases too many. No child should ever have to face any type of neglect,” Jones said.
When you donate to CASA, you are helping train and support volunteer advocates to protect the best interest of children who have been abused or neglected in the community and that need the help the most.
“Partnering with CASA of Campbell County provides an opportunity to bring positive change to the lives of vulnerable children.”
Tickets for this event are $30 for adults 18 and up, $15 for ages 6 to 17 and free to children 5 and under. Tickets are on sale at ORNL Federal Credit Union 2229 Jacksboro, Pike, La Follette, the CASA Office at 165 East Street, Jacksboro or from any volunteer or board member.
