Police were called to a N.16th St. home in LaFollette just before 8am.

LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- LaFollette Police are ruling out foul play in today’s early morning deaths.

Two young men were found dead outside a LaFollette residence, in a car, just before 8am. While police aren’t releasing names yet, they will say it was a 20-year-old male and a 19-year-old male.

“The LaFollette Police are taking the lead in this and we are being assisted by the TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation),” LPD Chief Matt Forsyth.

“Both have been sent to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center for autopsies,” he said. “There is no reason to believe foul play was involved.”

LPD investigating two deaths this morning

LAFOLLETTE, TN. (WLAF)- LaFollette Police are on scene after two people have been found dead in a car.

Just before 8am authorities were called to the 300 block of N.16th St.

“Two people were found deceased in a car,” said LPD Chief Matt Forsyth. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been called to assist in the investigation, he said.

The car appears to be parked in the driveway of a home at the end of the street.
