L a Follette and Caryville Fire Departments along with Campbell Rural Fire service are on their way

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Firefighters from Campbell County are assisting their fellow firefighters in Anderson County this afternoon in battling a wildfire in the Beech Grove community, due west of Rocky Top (Lake City). It’s near the Anderson-Campbell county line.

“We’re staging at Lake City MIddle School, and the big concern is that this fire is near some homes,” said La Follette Fire Chief Jimmy Pack.

As of 5:23pm Wednesday, 40 acres have burned, and the fire is 1% contained, according to the Tennessee Division of Forestry.
