Tennova Healthcare providing free sports physicals to area student-athletes

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- If you are a student-athlete, Tennova-La Follette Medical Center encourages you to come out Saturday, May 3, to Campbell High.

WHAT: Tennova Orthopedics and Tennova Primary Care providers will perform sports physical examinations to meet the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association’s (TSSAA) requirements. The TSSAA mandates student-athletes receive a sports physical prior to participating in any athletic activities.

WHO: Tennova Healthcare will be providing these free sports physicals to Campbell county student athletes.

WHERE: Campbell County High School located at 150 Cougar Lane at Jacksboro

WHEN: Saturday, May 3rd from 9:00am-10:30am

WHY: “Our primary concern is the safety of our student-athletes in any sport they play,” said Michael O’Brien, M.D., Tennova Orthopedics. “The convenience of offering sports physicals at no cost, with easy access, is helpful to our student-athletes and families alike.”

The sports physicals are free on the specified date and time listed only. On all other days, walk-in or scheduled appointments for sports physicals will be required.
