Leonard DeWayne Connell age 66 of LaFollette, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on October 3, 1958. Leonard was a wonderful father, who was witty, smart, and adventurous that enjoyed working on Mopar cars, woodworking, refurbishing antiques, collected knives, and fine China. He also loved spending time with his family and will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father Luther Ray Connell, brothers Mark Connell, Kerry Connell, and sister Rose Sanders.

Leonard is survived by his mother Irene Connell; wife Melinda Connell; son Jeremy Connell; daughter Christina Mendoza; brothers Patrick Connell, Scott Connell, and Perry Connell; sister Annette Connell; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A service date will be announced at a later date in Van Buren, Missouri.

The family has entrusted the care of Leonard DeWayne Connell to Martin Wilson Funeral Home “Where Families Matter Most.”
