LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The City of LaFollette Regional Planning Commission met Thursday afternoon at City Hall for its regular monthly meeting.
Tony Johnson is looking to subdivide his property behind Eagle Tire Pros and on Weirwood Drive. The commission had concerns with this property’s entrance/exit which were thought to be resolved in previous meetings. Stan Foust, City of LaFollette Administrator, recommends that it is stated on the plat that there is a permanent ingress/egress for future reference. A motion was made to table a decision until a revision note is on the plat for the entrance/exit.
A variance request for property located at 501 East Chestnut Street was next. The previous structure was demolished and a Tennessee Housing Development Agency grant (THDA) was issued for a rebuild in the same footprint. The variance would reduce the setback from 35 feet to 20 feet. The variance was approved. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-01/31/2025-6AM)
