Campbell 59 Halls 29

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF) – Having clinched at least a second place finish in the district, the Lady Cougars set their sights on the Lady Red Devils of Halls on Tuesday.

The Lady Cougars blitzed out to an early 18-1 lead, and it was all Orange-and-Blue. Granted, Halls cut it to 13 at halftime, but Campbell dominated in the second half.

Campbell outscored Halls 30-13 in the final two quarters to coast to a 59-29 victory. 

Tops in scoring, again, for the Lady Cougars was Lacey Pemberton with a dominating 22 point performance. She was also the Mills Door and More Offensive Player of the Game. Aleah Woodson finished with her tops on the season, nine points. Preslee Chapman racked up eight points, two of which came from an incredible behind-the-back find from Jayden Kitts. Bella Lester scored six. Reagan Davis and the aforementioned Jayden Kitts, your Mills Door and More All-Around Player of the Game, totaled four apiece. Carley Kitts, Destiny Rutherford, and Karlie Allen all contributed two points apiece. Jayden Kitts, in addition to her four points, unofficially had 9 assists and seven steals.

Campbell now leaps to 18-3 overall, 7-1 in District 3-AAAA, Region 2-AAAA. Up next is a Friday trip to the Secret City where the Lady Cougars will tussle with the Lady Wildcats of Oak Ridge.
