The last time we paid more than $3 for a gallon of gasoline was $3.03 in May 2024

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- The price of gasoline, regular unleaded, has gone from $2.29 a gallon March 2 to $2.39 the same day and on to $2.59 by March 5 up to $2.79 March 7 and the March 8 price increased to $2.99. From there, the price increased a dime on Monday, March 16, to $3.09 a gallon.

So far in 2026, the year opened at $2.22 a gallon and then went to $2.21 on January 6 and to $2.29 on February 12.

Last March 17, we were paying $2.41 a gallon. Ten years ago, the lowest price in Campbell County was $1.68 a gallon on March 17, 2016.
