John David Franklin, age 37, of Oliver Springs, formerly of LaFollette, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023. He was a member of East LaFollette Baptist Church. Preceded in death by father Johnny (Hattie) Franklin, grandparents Hattie Ray Franklin & Hattie Wilhoit Franklin, Rev. Layton Beets & Margaret Milton, brother-in-law Will Ellison.

Sister: LeAnn Ellison

Step-Mother: Kathy Franklin

Step-Grandmother: Joyce Beets

Nephew: Trey Ellison

Several other relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday, August 22, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7 PM in the Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Zach Lloyd officiating.

Service Update:  Family and friends will meet at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, October 25th, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for a 2 PM Interment.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to East LaFollette Baptist Church Youth Group.
