Jody Danny Turner, age 74, of Leburn, KY, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Hazard Appalachian Reg. Med. Ct. in Hazard, KY. He was born at Lafollette, TN, on December 4, 1950, to Otis Turner and Pauline Sharp Turner. Jody was a great family man. He was married to the love of his life for 53 years. He loved his children and especially his grandchildren and his new great-granddaughter. He had such great love for his nieces, and they considered him their papaw. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Jody loved his Lord and Savior and was a faithful member of Big Branch Baptist Church. He worked for many years as an auto body technician and for 16 years as a parts delivery driver. 

He leaves to mourn his passing his Wife – Flurcy Mae Patrick Turner, Children – Darren (Reagan) Turner, Shena Turner and Dustan (Mary) Turner, Grandchildren – Austyn (Kennedi) Turner, Kizer Turner (Fiancé – Maddi Smith), Drake Turner (Girlfriend – Emalee Hall), Audrey Turner and Averie Turner, Great Granddaughter – Palmer Hayes Turner, Papaw Jody’s Girls – Megan (Tim) Moore, Melinda (Taron) Griffith, Hazel Grace Griffith, and Ashley Bergman (Fiancé – Zach Hollan), Sisters – Shirley Hensley, Twin Sister – Judy Parker, and Audrey Shears, Special Puppy – Tucker Gage.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Otis Arthur and Pauline Sharp Turner, Brother – Charlie Carl Turner, Sisters – Garnetta Pebley, Virginia Edwards, Martha Cox, Mary Turner, Willene Dain.

Funeral services for Jody Danny Turner will be held at Hindman Funeral Services Chapel, Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM with Anthony Bersaglia and Ricky Smith officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by Knott County DAV Chapter 171. Burial will follow at Patrick Cemetery at Vest, KY. Visitation will be held at the Chapel, Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
