JELLICO, TN. (WLAF)- The Jellico High School Alumni Association recently presented scholarships to two Jellico High School Seniors. Through their hard work and dedication have rose to the “Top Ten” of the Class of 2025.

The first $1,000 scholarship was presented to Christa Hicks. She is the daughter of Chris and Elizabeth Hicks. She is one of the JHS “Top Ten” and was ACT Elite for 2025. She is a member of the Beta Club, Cross Country Team and E Sports Team. She took 2nd Place at the Louie Bluie Music and Arts Festival Art Contest in 2024. Christa spent many hours providing Jellico High School with a beautiful painted wall mural outside the library. She is a dual enrollee with Roane State and will be attending there in the fall majoring in Computer Programming.
The second $1,000 scholarship was presented to Savannah Lay. She is the daughter of Morgan and Jennifer Lay. She is one of the “Top Ten” of the Class of 2025. She is a member of the Beta Club, Cross Country Team and the Volleyball Team. She is a member of the Basketball Team and scored her 1,000th career point on February 18, 2025. Savannah was crowned JHS Basketball Queen for 2025. She is a dual enrollee with Roane State and the University of the Cumberlands and will attend the University of the Cumberlands this fall majoring in Nursing. The second $1,000 scholarship was made possible by the Moore and Reynolds Family in Honor of Johnny Ray Moore from the Class of 2023.
The scholarship program can continue with a donation to the Jellico High School Alumni Association or by purchasing a leaf or stone in honor or in memory of a JHS Alumni which will be displayed at our “Tree of Life” on the wall at JHS between the auditorium and the gymnasium.
