JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Jacksboro Eagles, after defeating Robertsville in the semifinal of the Section 1 Area 2A tournament, set their sights on the Senators of Norris Middle School in Wednesday’s championship game.
It was a thrilling first half to say the least. At the end of the offense-heavy first two quarters, Norris led the Eagles 34-24.
The Senators’ hot shooting allowed them to take full control of the ball game. Although the Blue-and-Gold fought, Norris won the Area Championship by a final score of 65-41.
Max Stanfill lead the way for the Eagles with 19 points. Jack Sexton totaled 10 points. Skyler Moore finished with five points. David Smith scored four. Landyn Wagner rounded out the score book with three points.
Jacksboro’s season is not over. However, JMS advances to the sectional tourney. The Eagles will play an opponent that is yet to be determined. The game is set for Saturday at noon at Cherokee High School at Rogersville. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-01/30/2025-6AM)
