The Mayor and Board of Aldermen for the Town of Jacksboro meet on Thursday

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Thursday afternoon, the Jacksboro Board of Mayor and Aldermen met with an agenda heavy with resolutions.

The fire department had two items on the agenda beginning with a request to purchase a hose tester for approximately $3,500. The next item was approval of a new fire department response policy. The policy states that a minimum of four firemen will respond to structure fires. Two firemen will go in the first truck, the third firemen into the station will take the second fire engine and the fourth firemen will take the fire department service truck. Both items were approved.

Resolution #373 authorizing a cooperative pricing system was approved. Resolution #374 to submit an application to the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for Caryville Jacksboro Utilities and Resolution #375 for engineering were approved.

Hiring Samantha Aslinger as an employee of the fire department was approved. Promoting Amanda Jackson to a full-time position in the police department was approved. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-03/07/2025-6AM)
