Large hail, damaging wind and heavy rainfall are main threats, time frame 5pm until 10pm

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A few strong, to possibly several, strong to severe storms are expected this afteroon and evening. Primary time for concern will be from roughly 6 PM to 10 PM. The main threats with any of the stronger storms will be hail up to golf ball size and damaging wind gusts. The threat for tornadoes is very low. This is a fairly rare threat for large hail (golf ball sized or perhaps slightly bigger) exists across east Tennessee this evening.

Scattered severe thunderstorms are likely this afternoon into the evening hours. The main threat will be large hail possibly up to 2 inches in diameter and damaging winds.
