UPDATED 04/16/2025-6AM
LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Though foul play has been ruled out in the deaths of two young men, according to LaFollette Police, the mystery remains unsolved as the investigation moves into its second day.
Two young men were found dead outside a LaFollette home, in a car in the driveway, just before 8am Tuesday. While police aren’t releasing names yet, they will say it was a 20-year-old male and a 19-year-old male.
The scene was on North 16th Street, a stone’s throw from the La Follette Medical Center campus.
“The LaFollette Police are taking the lead in this and we are being assisted by the TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation),” said LPD Chief Matt Forsyth.
“Both have been sent to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center for autopsies,” he said. “There is no reason to believe foul play was involved.”
