JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell County Cougar Football team continues working toward its Friday scrimmage with the Eagles at Seymour. It’s a 6pm start on Householder Field.

“I hope everyone can play as we look to build some depth in Friday’s scrimmage. Hopefully we’ll move the football, make tackles, just do well in every facet of football,” said Campbell Head Football Coach Taylor Ownbey.

As the Cougars move forward, the Seymour game will give Ownbey and his staff good game film heading into next week’s scrimmage at Knox Central at Barbourville, Kentucky.

This week’s schedule goes like this: Monday-Thursday (July 27th-30th) 7am-9:45am. On Friday, July 31, the Cougars will scrimmage the Eagles at Seymour in a 6pm start.

Saturday, August 1, is Picture Day on The Hill at 9am.

Afternoon practices begin on Monday, August 3, 3:15pm-4:45pm. For Tuesday-Thursday, August 4-6, practice times are 2pm to 4:45pm.

On Friday, August 7, the Cougars venture Barbourville for a 6pm scrimmage with the Knox Central Panthers.

The first full day of classes is Monday, August 10, and practice time will run from 1:45-4:30pm.

August 14, at 6pm, at Burke-Tarr Stadium is when and where the Cougars will have their dress rehearsal jamboree game hosted by Carson-Newman.
