Harley DeWitt Clinton, age 76, of LaFollette was born on 07, October,1948 to John Edward and Murial Smith Jayne-Clinton, in Jellico, Tennessee. His spirit ascended into the hands of Almighty God and his journey of life gracefully concluded on June 20, 2025. He was of the Christian faith. Harley spent much of his childhood as a USMC dependent and lived with his parents from coast to coast. He graduated Kailua High School in Kailua, Hawaii, and returned home to Williamsburg, Ky. To attend Cumberland College for a B.S. in Biology. He was veteran of both, USMC and USAF, where he pursued a degree in Laboratory & Health care sciences at Midwestern University, after which he served many years in civil service with Indian Health Service and Department of Defense. He enjoyed woodworking, building, and traveling. He retired in 2013 as Laboratory manager, from the Armed Forces Radiological Research Institute (AFRRI), Bethesda, Maryland.

Preceded in death by parents: John Edward and Muriel Smith Jayne-Clinton of Portsmouth, Virginia, paternal grandparents: Dr. Harley Walker Clinton of Williamsburg, Ky. And Mable Clair Chappel-Clinton of Denver, Colorado, maternal grandparents: Everette Raymond and Alice Jayne of Stoney Brook, Long Island, New York.

Survived by his wife of nearly 55 years: Dorothy Lumpkins-Clinton

Sons: Harley Jr. of Texas City, Texas, Joseph of Calvin, Kentucky, Mark of Staunton, Viginia, and Christopher of Orlando, Florida.

Granddaughters: Olivia and Haley.

Brother: John Everette Clinton, Shippensburg, Pennsylvania

Sister: Katrina Jayne Clinton-Bahlmaktar, Phoenix, Arizona

Family and friends will meet at 2 PM, June 24, 2025 at Cross-Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Bakers Forge Cemetery for 3 PM Graveside Services and Interment with Military Honors to be given by Honor Guard of Campbell County.
