LAFOLLETTE, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)—Campbell County Habitat for Humanity is proud to announce the dedication of House #41, (above photo) made possible through generous funding from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) and the collaborative efforts of Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT)–Jacksboro. This milestone event will take place on Friday, May 30th, at 6:00 PM at 292 Old Middlesboro Highway, La Follette, TN 37766, celebrating the community’s commitment to providing safe, affordable housing for families in need.

The dedication ceremony will feature remarks from Habitat for Humanity representatives and local leaders, highlighting the impact of collaborative efforts in addressing housing challenges in Campbell County. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the newly completed home and meet the deserving family who will soon call it their own.

“We are thrilled to dedicate our 41st home, a testament to the dedication and generosity of our volunteers, donors, and funding partners like THDA and TCAT-Jacksboro,” said Zacherly Sheets, President of Campbell County Habitat for Humanity. “The students and faculty of TCAT-Jacksboro played a vital role in bringing this home to life, applying their skills and expertise to create a lasting impact for our community.”

TCAT-Jacksboro’s involvement in the building process provided students with valuable hands-on experience while directly contributing to Habitat for Humanity’s mission of expanding affordable housing. Their dedication to workforce training and community service highlights the power of education in transforming lives.
