Green holds off challengers to earn another term as mayor

Shayne Green will maintain his post as mayor of Jacksboro

JACKBORO, TN (WLAF)- Shayne Green earned another term as mayor of Jacksboro on Saturday with 157 votes.

The Town of Jacksboro Election Day was Sat., at Jacksboro Middle School. Verlin Hatfield (95 votes) and Matthew Housley(140votes) challenged Shayne Green (157 votes), the sitting mayor, while Roy Green (208 votes) and Jimmy Snodgrass (210 votes) were unopposed for alderman.

The election will be certified on April 17, according to Mallory Rosenfeld, Administrator of Elections for Campbell County. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/06/2025-6AM)
