Caryville and Ridgewood Volunteer Fire Departments responded

There were no injuries in this Friday night truck fire.

VASPER, TN (WLAF)- There was a lot of fire and even more smoke as a pick-up truck burned in a grassy area beside I-75 on Friday night.

The incident happened at 8:30pm on the northbound side of the interstate at Mile Marker 133. That’s a mile south of the Caryville exit.

Traffic was down to one lane, the left lane, backing up traffic for miles on I-75 northbound, according to TDOT.
