JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- It was a momentous occasion as recently elected Campbell County officials took their oath of office on Friday at the courthouse. Family, friends, and other county officials attended the event, packing the courtroom.

County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck takes the oath of office on Friday as his wife Naomia is with him. He was sworn in by Chancellor Elizabeth Asbury.

In total, seven newly elected officials took the oath, with a spouse or family member by their side holding their left hand on the Bible. Six officials were sworn in by Judge Elizabeth Asbury and due to being related, School Board Member Brandon Johnson was sworn in by General Sessions Judge Bill Jones.

Third district board of education member Brandon Johnson is sworn into office by General Sessions Judge Bill Jones. Johnson’s great grandmother Phyllis Crutchfield was present for the momentous occasion and assisted by holding the Bible.

Those being sworn in on Friday included Board of Education members Brandon Johnson, Jamie Wheeler, Ryne Cummins, Brent Lester and Lisa Fields. Also sworn in was County Road Superintendent Ron Dilbeck and County Property Assessor Brandon Partin.

Ryne Cummins, newly elected school board member, was sworn in on Friday at the Campbell County Courthouse with his wife Ophelia by his side.. Cummins will serve the fifth district.

Jamie Wheeler, representing the board of education from the fourth district, takes the oath of office on Friday as her nephew Gabe Carroll holds the Bible.

Brent Lester, serving the second district on the board of education, takes the oath of office on Friday at the Campbell County courthouse with his wife Lisa Lester by his side. Judge Elizabeth Asbury swore Lester and others into office.
