Thomas McCloud is free on bond this morning

PIONEER, TN (WLAF)- A Duff man is due in General Sessions court first thing Thursday morning. Thomas McCloud, 41, was charged Sunday afternoon with second-degree attempted murder charges stemming from an incident at a Caryville liquor store, according to a report from the Caryville Police Department.

Caryville Police were dispatched to State Line Liquor at I-75 Exit 141 on Sunday afternoon just after one o’clock. The call was about a domestic dispute involving McCloud and a 45-year old man from Huntsville. The man from Huntsville had been struck by a vehicle.

The victim was airlifted by a medical helicopter to a Knoxville hospital.

McCloud was detained at the scene and later arrested.
