Starting today at 8am, Community Trust Bank-Jacksboro is accepting donations for KY tornado victims

JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Your friends at Community Trust Bank are accepting donations of items to help victims of Friday’s devastating tornado at London, Kentucky. 

Beginning Wednesday at 8am, a U-Haul truck is parked at the Jacksboro Branch of Community Trust Bank ready to fill with your donations. It will be there until either Friday, May 23, at 4:00 pm or until it is filled.  Donated items will then be taken to Faith Assembly of God in London.  This church is being used as a distribution center for those in need.

Some of the much needed items include:

  • Water
  • Tarps
  • Bungee cords
  • Rakes
  • Shovels
  • Buckets
  • Contractor garbage bags
  • Totes
  • Ponchos
  • Canned, non-perishable food
  • Manual can openers
  • Work gloves
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Tents
  • Personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes & toothpaste
  • Diapers
  • Baby wipes
  • Baby food
  • First aid kits
  • Batteries
  • Heavy duty extension cords
