Car headed over the bank

A tree stopped the momentum of this car that was bound for the four lane below. The incident occurred near Farm Bureau Insurance on the hill above Peoples Bank of the South Mall Branch.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- First responders with the La Follette Fire Department were hearing mixed reports as they headed to the call of a car over an embankment.

Luckily the end result was not as bad as first thought. A four door sedan, with one person in the passenger seat, began rolling from the parking lot of Farm Bureau Insurance. The agency sits atop a high hill on Colonial Drive. The car began rolling down the bank on its way to the ditch about a hundred feet down to the four lane. However, a small tree stopped the car’s momentum.

There were no injuries.
