Mrs. Delores Bolton Tidwell, age 79 of Powell, TN, formerly of LaFollette, TN, passed

away on July 7, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend,

and leaves behind a legacy of love, grace, and unwavering strength.

Delores will be fondly remembered for her courage and positive spirit throughout her

battle with cancer. More than anything, she will be cherished for her kind heart, sweet

demeanor, and her quick wit that brought smiles to so many.

She was a member of Stillwaters Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was her family, and

she treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Delores also enjoyed quilting, tending to her beautiful flowers, and snow birding in

Florida — where she made many treasured friendships.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Monroe Bolton and Charles Elizabeth

Bolton; brothers Walter, Sonny, Dennis, and Donnie Bolton; and sister Louise Spradlin.

She is survived by her loving husband, Verlin Tidwell; sons John Tidwell (Deborah)

and Jeff Tidwell (Lori); grandchildren Rachel, Heather, Elizabeth, Katelyn, and

Daniel; six great-grandchildren; brother Bill Bolton; sister Martha Stalbaum; and a

host of extended family and dear friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the many nurses and caregivers who provided

care and compassion throughout her illness.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor and remember Delores’s

beautiful spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to the

Campbell County Cancer Association.
