Mr. David I. “Cobb” Byrge, age 70 of Jacksboro passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Mr. Byrge was a US Army Veteran and was formerly employed with Precise Corporation in Caryville, and for a time, worked as a Coal Miner. He enjoyed fishing, exploring in the mountains, and was an accomplished guitar player. Preceded in death by wife, Brenda Byrge, parents, Walter and Bertha (Kennedy) Byrge, and brother, Hobart Byrge.

He is survived by his son, Joe Byrge, step-children, Jennifer West (Jeff), Jeff Blades (Tabitha), and April Reed; grandchildren, Aaron Blades, Kayla Miller, Emily Reed, Michael Partin, Melana Partin, Candace Hutson (Adam), and Mackenzie West; great-grandson, Russell Hutson; brother, Homer Byrge (Joyce); sister, Mazella Vowell (Edgar); Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM with Rev. Zach Lloyd officiating. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. David I. “Cobb” Byrge.
