JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell County Regional Planning Commission met Monday evening at the courthouse, approving several minor lot subdivisions.
First discussed and approved was a minor lot subdivision for Colton Evans on Kenzie Lane at La Follette.

“It’s a simple one lot subdivision. Everything is legit and he has plenty of road frontage,” according to Regional County Planner Jordan Rockwell. The lot already has septic on it.
Second approved was a minor lot subdivision for Terry Burrell on Stiner Lane at La Follette.
“He is making two lots, making one smaller and one lot bigger,” Rockwell said.
After discussion, Planning Commission members and the county planner said he would have to have lot 46 evaluated for septic.
“We are concerned lot 46 could become unusable. Making it smaller, you may need to make sure it will perk and have room for a septic,” Rockwell said, explaining it would have to pass a percolation test for the septic system. This measures how quickly the soil absorbs water.

“We could pass it, and have it in the language that he has to get a soil survey and a septic permit,” suggested Planning Commission Chairman Rusty Orick.
Planning commission members agreed, and it was approved.
Once a septic permit has been approved and proof provided, then the Planning commission will sign off on it, according to Orick.
Other business was the approval of a minor lot subdivision for Travis Wormsley on Hatmaker Ridge Road at Jacksboro.
Rockwell said it “looked good.”
“It just needs the standard note on the plat that states who is responsible for the easement maintenance agreement,” Rockwell said.

Next approved was a minor lot subdivision for David Seals on River Road at Jacksboro.
Rockwell recommended approval as long as it had documented signatures and a permit for septic provided.
Also approved was for a minor lot subdivision for Luke Huffman on Mac Ivey Hollow Road at La Follette.
It currently is one lot and is being divided into 4, according to county planner Rockwell.
Two of the lots have existing homes and septic systems, while the other two do not.
Rockwell recommended approval contingent upon necessary signatures and septic permits being provided. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-06/03/2025-6AM)
