KNOXVILLE, TN (WLAF) – It was a tough night in Fountain City for the Cougars. Though the game started well enough with Campbell leading 14-10 after one quarter.

Central regained the lead 27-24 at halftime. At the end of the third, the Cougars narrowed the margin to 41-39. However, in the fourth quarter, the wheels fell off the wagon. The Bobcats snapped a 41-41 deadlock and outscored Campbell 19-5 on their way to a 60-44 victory.

Tops in scoring was Gavin Owens, your Mills Door and More Player of the Game, with 11 points. Jake Hatmaker was right behind him with nine points. Keegan Nelson scored seven points, as did Gavin Cox. Five points each came from Luke Browning and Will Croley.

Campbell will look to bounce back quickly as it hosts Powell on Friday for homecoming. The Cougars tip off at 7:30.
