TWRA had a planned controlled burn on Wednesday

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- On the north side of La Follette in the Ivydale area, a prescribed burn was started on Wednesday under the direction of the TWRA.

On Thursday, the controlled burn became uncontrolled, according to one fire official.

As of Friday afternoon, the wildfire is 100% contained.

From Ollis Creek to Flatwoods is the area where the fire is burning. Firefighters with the Tennessee Division of Forestry began battling the fire on Thursday.
