LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- You are invited to a Community CrossWalk – Good Friday event hosted by La Follette Methodist Church set to begin tomorrow at 3pm.

The Community CrossWalk starts at 3pm at the La Follette Middle School.

“Join us for a Community CrossWalk on Good Friday, a powerful act of remembrance, unity, and faith as we carry a large 12’ x 7’ cedar cross from La Follette Middle School to La Follette Methodist Church. That’s approximately 0.7 miles as we step into the journey Jesus made, marked by sacrifice, love, and hope,” said Rev. Dr. Chris Stanfield, pastor at La Follette Methodist Church.

This is a voluntary and family-friendly event. All are welcome; individuals, families, youth, and elders. You may simply walk alongside the cross or, if you feel led, take a turn carrying it.

Friday’s Community CrossWalk – Good Friday event starts at 3pm.

At 3:30, a brief Good Friday service will take place at the La Follette Methodist Church featuring The Seven Last Words of Christ – a deeply moving reflection on the words Jesus spoke from the Cross.

“Let’s walk together as a community, remembering the heart of our faith and the hope we share,” said Stanfield. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/17/2025-6AM)
