JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- The Campbell County Commission held its monthly workshop on Monday evening to set the agenda for next week. Commissioners will vote on several resolutions, proclamations and other business items, including contract agreements and dilapidated items set for surplus.
A resolution “reaffirming the review and approval process for inner departmental budget amendments” will be voted on next week. This resolution just “reaffirms” an agreement from 2005 for the Budget and Finance committee authorizing the director of finance to review and approve inner departmental budget amendments.
Also, up for a vote next week is a resolution “authorizing the Environmental Services/Sanitation Department Director to require letters of credit, payment bonds or other similar payment Guaranty instruments to ensure collection of established solid waste fees and to authorize the director to enter into merchant account agreements to accept payment of established solid waste fees by debit and credit cards.”
Another resolution set for the agenda is authorizing the issuance of “Ten year” general obligation capital outlay notes, in one or more series, in an aggregate principal amount of not to exceed $3,500,000. It is to provide funds to finance the “constructing, improving, repairing, renovating and equipping of county school facilities and/or other educational facilities.” The resolution makes “provision for the issuance, sale and payment of said notes.”
“The Capital Outlay note will provide funding for HVAC projects in the school system with the annual debt service requirement to be provided towards general purpose school funds,” Bruce said.
A clinical affiliation agreement between TCAT Jacksboro and Campbell County EMS will be on next week’s agenda. The agreement is “to the mutual benefit” of both parties to provide clinical experience to students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic program.
Also, up for approval is for the county property assessor’s office to hire new legal representation of Owens, Wilson and Coleman Attorneys & Solicitors. This change is needed because the former attorney in this position has passed away.
In other business, the Campbell County EMS has asked to declare a copier as dilapidated and approved for disposal as well as a dilapidated computer items from the Clerk and Master Office.
An airport lease agreement will also be up for a vote.
The commission administrative assistant Tabitha Davis will have her second evaluation approved at next week’s meeting.
Several Early Literacy proclamations will also be on next week’s agenda.
