JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Campbell County Commissioners approved several resolutions, proclamations and other business items at Monday’s Commission meeting.
A resolution “reaffirming the review and approval process for inner departmental budget amendments” was approved. This resolution “reaffirms” an agreement from 2005 for the Budget and Finance committee authorizing the director of finance to review and approve inner departmental budget amendments.
Also, approved was a resolution “authorizing the Environmental Services/Sanitation Department Director to require letters of credit, payment bonds or other similar payment Guaranty instruments to ensure collection of established solid waste fees and to authorize the director to enter into merchant account agreements to accept payment of established solid waste fees by debit and credit cards.”
The issuance of “Ten year” general obligation capital outlay note not to exceed $3,500,000 was approved. “The Capital Outlay note will provide funding for HVAC projects in the school system with the annual debt service requirement to be provided towards general purpose school funds,” according to Commission Chair Johnny Bruce.
A clinical affiliation agreement between TCAT Jacksboro and Campbell County EMS was approved. The agreement provides clinical experience to students enrolled in the Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic program and “mutually benefits the county and TCAT.”
Commissioners also approved for the county property assessor’s office to hire new legal representation of Owings, Wilson and Coleman Attorneys & Solicitor due to the former attorney in this position passing away.
In other business, commissioners approved for the Campbell County EMS to declare a copier as dilapidated as well as dilapidated computer items from the Clerk and Master Office as well/
