Ribbon cutting was Monday morning

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A crowd of nearly 100 people turned out Monday at 9am as the ribbon was cut at the Campbell County Christian Academy signaling the academy’s joining of the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
As students, teachers, staff, board members and others gathered, the nearly 40 students began their day like always, reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and then for the Christian flag and the pledge to the Bible. The Lord’s Prayer was then recited. “This is how we open everyday here at the Christian Academy,” said Donnie Poston, Head Master.

‘We’re so glad the Christian Academy has reopened after being closed a few years,” said Campbell County Mayor Jack Lynch. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-02/25/2025-6AM-PHOTO COURTESY OF WLAF’S ANN RUTHERFORD)
So thankful this wonderful entity is in operation in my home county and that there is an alternative for families. Praying God’s blessings and a rich future of growth and success for this academy. Praying God makes it so the doors which are opening with vouchers in our state will make it so families can take their tax dollars (which is their money and not any local school boards) and invest it in their child’s education wheresoever they may choose. This is how it should be and parent’s should certainly have choice. May God richly bless the Christian Academy of Campbell County.
