JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Meet Celia. She is a two to three year old shepherd mix with a little something extra that gave her those adorable low-rider legs. She has limited vision in her left eye, but it doesn’t slow her down or take away from her gentle, loving nature. She’ll be evaluated by veterinarians, but so far, she’s handling it like a champ.

Shelter life has been a bit overwhelming for Celia, and she can be shy and unsure at first. But with a little patience and kindness, her confidence is blooming more and more each day.

Her biggest confidence boost? Other dogs. Celia absolutely thrives with canine friends and would do best in a home with a friendly, confident dog to show her the ropes. She also does well with kids, especially those who understand she just needs a little time to feel safe.

Celia is the kind of dog who will bond deeply with her people, the one who quietly becomes your shadow, your soft place at the end of the day, your little victory story.

If you have a patient heart, a calm home, and maybe a furry friend or two, Celia might be the missing piece you didn’t know you needed.

A meet and greet with your current pup, if you have one, is always recommended.

The adoption center, animal shelter, is open Tuesday – Saturday, noon to 5:30pm, at 749 Towe String Road, Jacksboro, next to the convenience center. The shelter’s telephone number is 423-566-8018.
