CAMPBELL COUNTY, TN. (WLAF)- Another Campbell County Sheriff’s Department employee has been arrested and terminated.

Joshua Jeffers, a night shift supervisor, was arrested on Feb. 4 in Oak Ridge. He was charged with domestic assault. He was terminated the same day, according to Campbell County Chief Deputy Cody Chapman.

Just before 1pm on Tuesday, Oak Ridge Police responded to a call of a woman who had locked herself in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant, the arrest report said.

The victim allegedly told police Jeffers had “assaulted her” while they were in a vehicle in the restaurant parking lot.

She was able to show police marks that had been left on her during the assault, records said.

Jeffers was arrested and held at the Anderson County Jail until Wednesday morning when he was released on $25,000 bail.

“We can’t tolerate actions like that,” Chapman said.

Reports indicate Jeffers was arrested late yesterday in Scott County on aggravated assault charges.

Campbell County Sheriff Wayne Barton didn’t return WLAF’s call for comment.
