JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Campbell United, Campbell County’s anti-drug coalition, met on Thursday at noon to discuss plans for community events, coalition programs, and more.

First up on the agenda was planning for a community resource fair, which will be held at the LaFollette Church of God on October 4th from 11 am till 2 pm. The event will bring together a multitude of community partners and organizations all under one roof to showcase the many resources the county has for individuals. This is the second community fair organized by Campbell United. Last year a diaper drive for the Campbell County Children’s Center was held in conjunction with the community resource fair. This year, Campbell United is expanding the drive’s focus to include non-perishable food items, laundry supplies and diapers, size 4 and up.

“We had an amazing turnout last year from community organizations and people attending and we hope to reach out and have even more this year,” said coalition co-organizer Trent Coffey. Coalition members will plan for the community resource fair more at its August meeting.
