JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- Campbell United met on Thursday at noon at TCAT Jacksboro to discuss the upcoming drug take-back events scheduled for Sat., April 26th. The anti-drug coalition also gathered supplies for a “Beach themed” basket full of gifts and goodies, which is to be auctioned off at the upcoming “Tennessee Tailgate” Boys and Girls Club fundraising event scheduled for Mon., April 21 at the Ball Farm Event Center.
The Anti-drug coalition also briefly discussed its upcoming drug take back events.
Campbell United has expanded and is holding the takeback at multiple locations for this year’s event and will have a drop-off location on the north and south sides of the county.
According to Charlsa Honeycutt, Director of the Campbell United Anti-Drug Coalition, “Both events will be on Saturday, April 26, from 10am until 2pm, at Woodson’s Mall and at Jellico Veterans Memorial Park,” said Honeycutt.

You are encouraged to turn in unneeded medication for safe disposal.
These Drug Take Back events are part of a national outreach effort by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
Campbell United participated last year with an event at Woodson’s Mall and netted nearly 80 pounds of unwanted prescription medications, keeping them out the hands of kids and out of the landfills and the water system.
“Participating in these types of events is not only good for the community, but good for our coalition as well in getting grants because the state loves when we partner and participate in these kinds of efforts,” according to coalition organizers. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-04/14/2025-6AM)
