Wlaf1450JACKSBORO, TN (SPECIAL TO WLAF)– Primary care appointments are now available at the Campbell County Health Department. Primary care services include treatment of acute illness and chronic disease management and are provided by a nurse practitioner or physician. Services can also include wellness exams, laboratory tests, and health education. We primarily serve uninsured and underinsured patients, providing accessible care to those with little or no coverage.
Appointments at the Campbell County Health Department will typically be scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday. If you are unable to make appointments on those days, please call the health department for information about other clinics offering primary care.
Other services of the Campbell County Health Department include:
- Required/Recommended immunizations – Immunizations include polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella, meningitis, hepatitis B, flu and pneumonia.
- Vital Records – Birth/death certificates
- Child Health – Physical exams, screening tests and immunizations
- Women, Infants and Children (WIC) – Vouchers for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding and children under five years of age at risk of poor growth, breastfeeding classes/support to all new mothers and nutrition tips.
- Prenatal – Pregnancy testing, presumptive eligibility screening for Medicaid, referral for prenatal care
- TennCare Outreach – Services to families and individuals who may be eligible for TennCare
- Dental – Basic dental services and emergency care for adults and children. The clinics also provide services for TennCare members.
