LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- A Boys & Girls Club is being established in Campbell County!
The Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County held a press conference at the Dewey Hunter Center on Monday, October 21, at 1:30 p.m. , to make the special announcement.
At the conference, General Sessions Judge Bill Jones said that the” Boys and Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley has approved us to open a new club in Campbell County.”
“We have a local board working on establishing our club and we plan to open before the next school year begins (2025-26),” Jones said.
The Boys & Girls Club of Campbell County is also on the list of organizations approved to receive a portion of the county’s opioid abatement funds, which will officially be designated at tonight’s county commission meeting.
Establishing a Boys & Girls Club for the county has been a “high priority” for some time now, according to Judge Jones, who said the club would impact the community tremendously. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-10/21/2024-1:30PM)
