This double-wide mobile home was a complete loss as firefighters saved the neighboring home.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- Firefighters responded to three house fires over the weekend across Campbell County.

The owner of this home at Murrayville explains that firefighters did exceptional work, and they did the best they could in extreme circumstances.

Just after 5:30pm Saturday, firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service (CCRFS) were called to a house fire on Murrayville Road in La Follette.

Not long after 3pm Sunday is when a double-wide mobile caught fire on Back Valley Road in La Follette. A sheriff’s deputy made it to the scene first telling dispatchers the home was fully engulfed. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and save a nearby home. Assistance came from the La Follette Fire Department along with Campbell County EMS and Sheriff’s Office.

Firefighters with the Campbell County Rural Fire Service responded to three fires over the weekend.

A home was saved during a Sunday night fire in the Cherry Bottom community. “We were able to contain the fire to a single room and some contents,” said Ridgewood Volunteer Fire Department Chief Joseph Roach. Mutual aid came from the Caryville Volunteer Fire Department, Jacksboro Fire Department and the CCRFS.
