BSH has plants on Memorial Drive-Jacksboro (top photo) and Mine Lane at Caryville
JACKSBORO, TN (WLAF)- BSH, one of Campbell County’s largest employers, announced to its employees on Thursday that it plans to close its Campbell County facilities over the next couple of years. “We were hit with the best and worst employment news today (Friday); having the county’s lowest ever unemployment numbers and the closing of BSH,” said Campbell County Mayor Jack Lynch.
BSH employs right at 260-270 people, according to the mayor. “We’re being told they’re closing the plants to consolidate with a larger plant at New Bern, North Carolina. Some of the employees say on the good side they may have 18 months with a year on the downside,” said Lynch.

“We have a new challenge to bring jobs to Campbell County to replace those that could be lost, and we’ll work to have a new tenant walk in as BSH is walking out,” said Mayor Lynch.
Telephone calls and emails to BSH from WLAF went unanswered Thursday afternoon. (WLAF NEWS PUBLISHED-05/30/2025-5PM-IMAGES COURTESY OF GOOGLE MAPS)
