Bobby R. Cummings, Jr., age 58, of Kodak, Tennessee, formerly of Jellico, TN, passed away early Monday morning, December 18, 2023, at the Select Specialty Hospital of Covenant Health – Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

He was born on October 10, 1965, in La Follette, TN, to the late Bobby Ray Cummings, Sr. and Cherry (Douglas) Cummings Sharpe, who survives.  His paternal grandparents were the late Malcolm and Ruth (Edwards) Cummings.  His maternal grandparents were the late Alfred Douglas and Anna (Overton) Douglas.

Bobby was a graduate of Jellico High School – Class of 1984.  He attended Lincoln Memorial University for two years.  He sold real estate for Wyndham Resorts in Pigeon Forge, TN.

He was also a long-time member of Crouches Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his father and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his aunt, Jane (Douglas) Weaver, and four uncles, Jimmy Cummings, Bob Douglas, John Douglas and Ted Douglas.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Ashley Warren and three granddaughters, Nevaeh Warren, Heaven Warren, and Presley Spicer, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; mother, Cherry L. (Douglas) Cummings Sharpe, of Jellico; sister, Page Griffith, and husband, Renny, of Arlington, Virginia;  two nephews, Bryce Griffith and Chase Griffith, and niece, Detonia Taylor, all of Arlington, VA; special aunt, Margie Douglas, of Sevierville, TN; uncle, Jim Douglas, of Knoxville, TN; special cousins, Jamie Burton, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Shannon Mendel, of Kodak, TN, and a host of friends, neighbors and other relatives to mourn his passing.            

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening, December 22, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral will immediately follow on Friday evening, December 22, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roger Stanley officiating.

Interment will follow on Saturday morning, December 23, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Douglas Cemetery located in the Crouches Creek Community of Jellico.  Anyone who desires to go in procession should be at the funeral home on Saturday morning, December 23, 2023, no later than 10:30 a.m.
