Bobbie Jean Chapman age 86 of Jacksboro entered into her heavenly home on Friday December 20, 2024, at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born January 4, 1938, to the late Ancil and China (McNeeley) Tidwell. Bobbie was a member of the Lake View Baptist Church. She retired from H & K Jewelry. Bobbie loved cooking, traveling, shopping, her flowers and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Cox and her sister Pauline Jones.
Bobbie is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 64 years Rev. Earl Chapman of Jacksboro; her loving son Darryl Wayne Chapman and wife Dawn of Jacksboro; her loving daughters Brenda Lynn Dykes and husband Robert of LaFollette and Rebecca Diane Cox of Knoxville; her brothers Verlin Tidwell and wife Delores of Knoxville and Bill Tidwell and wife Carol of LaFollette; her sister Donna McGhee and husband Wayne of Jacksboro; her seven loving grandchildren and two great grandchildren; special family friend Roger Stanley; several nieces, nephews and host of other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday December 23, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with her funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Roger Stanley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
