Billie Renea Stooksbury, affectionately known as Nay Nay, passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on April 16, 1967, in LaFollette, TN, she spent her entire life in her beloved hometown. Billie was a devoted member of First Independent Missionary Baptist Church, where she found joy in singing gospel music. She cherished her time working alongside her mother, Viola Bean Stooksbury, and was known for her unwavering love for her family. Billie’s warm spirit and kindness made her the heart of her family, and she had a unique ability to touch the lives of everyone around her.

Preceded in death by Father: Charles Ray Stooksbury, Sister: Tammy Stooksbury Evans, Brother-in-Law: Timothy Evans, Grandparents: William Brownlow and Edna Mae Love Bean, Charles Stooksbury and Tinnie Stooksbury Blankenship.

She is survived by her mother, Viola, and her nieces, Brandy Brown and husband Rob, Teri Evans, and Makenzie Brown. She also shared a special bond with her cousins, Jackie and Anthony Olsen.

Billie Renea Stooksbury will be deeply missed for her loving nature and the joy she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.

Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Cross-Smith Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in Cross-Smith Chapel, Rev. Don Whited and Rev. Tim Russell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Cross-Smith Funeral Home at 11 AM on Monday and proceed to Harness Cemetery in Caryville for a 12 Noon Interment.
