UPDATE: LUB crews restored power later Wednesday morning

This power pole on the La Follette Medical Center campus was accidentally knocked down by a big truck.

LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- At 4:36am Wednesday, a big rig knocked down a power pole on the La Follette Medical Center campus. Power quickly came back on at the hospital via its generator. However, 426 other east side customers were left without power.

LUB’s Wes Caldwell and Travis Malicote work to restore power.

Stop light 9 where Indiana Avenue crosses East Central Avenue was not working as a result of the power outage.

This truck reportedly knocked down a power pole by accident. The pole is on the La Follette Medical Center campus.
