LAFOLLETTE, TN (WLAF)- On June 15, 2026, U.S. Marshals arrested fugitive Alejandro Mancera Canchola. He was wanted for attempted first-degree murder stemming from an incident on December 17, 2024, in LaFollette. The Marshals Service apprehended Canchola at Indianapolis, and temporarily housed him at the Marion County, Indiana, Jail.

On Sunday, officers with the La Follette Police Department traveled to Indianapolis and brought Canchola back to Campbell County. “It was a there and back trip in one day,” said Matthew Forsyth, Chief of Police for La Follette.

Canchola was booked into the Campbell County Jail at 10:05pm Sunday.
